Despite of the statement, issued by Dettol South Africa, condemning Prophet Rufus Phala for forcing members of his church to drink the liquid antiseptic , the “man of god” was spotted at a local supermarket buying more bottles of the liquid antispetic. Prophet Phala of the Spiritual Christian Church in Makgodu Village, outside Polokwane in Limpopo, had made his members drink Dettol antiseptic liquid, promising they will be healed of their sicknesses, adding that the Holy Spirit had instructed him to use the product. The Dettol company warned the prophet to stop the practice because oral consumption of its product can endanger health.
