Lagos Badagary Express Way - JOMO Tv   LAST Monday, angry youths and students of the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, AOCOED, Ijanikin, Lagos, joined by students of the Lagos State University, LASU, marched along the unbelievably bad Lagos-Badagry Expressway in protest. This time around, the students were not protesting against higher school fees or the deplorable condition of facilities in their schools.  They were asking both the Federal and Lagos State governments to immediately fix that international road, the gateway to neighbouring West African countries like Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo, and others. Some angry students who spoke to Vanguard  around the Federal Government College, Ijanikin, said the protest was about the Lagos-Badagry Expressway which has become hell on earth for all users of the road. “You can see for yourself the condition of this international road. EFCC: Naira Marley Arraigned, Remanded in Prison Custody

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on May 20, 2019 arraigned a Nigerian artiste, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, before Justice Nicholas I. Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on an 11-count charge bordering on cybercrime. Watch Video The defendant was arrested on May 10, 2019, following intelligence report received by the Commission about his alleged involvement in internet fraud. Some aides of lawmakers of the 8th National Assembly have alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is conspiring with lawmakers to deduct from the payments entitled to them. The aides, under the auspices of the Concerned Legislative Aides of the 8th National Assembly, said they have sent a petition to the EFCC, but the anti-graft agency is yet to take any action in investigating the petition. In the statement, which was jointly signed by  Chinedu Nwokeukwu and Sunday Chuba, the group singled out the Clerk to the National Assembly and the presiding officers of the Senate and House of Representatives as the main culprits in the entitlement deduction.
