We have not received any report of Dino Melaye's kidnap at any police station in the country' - Police PRO, Jimoh Moshood

The Nigerian Police Force has reacted to the reported kidnap of Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West senatorial district on Thursday morning at Gwagwalada by unknown gunmen when he was heading to Lokoja to attend a court session. The Police however denied knowledge of the kidnap, saying the incident was not reported in any station across the country. In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Jimoh Moshood, the police dared the family members of Melaye or his staff who claimed to have witnessed the alleged abduction, to report the matter to the Police. “Nigeria Police Force have not received any complaint or report in any of its Police Stations or Divisions throughout the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) or any other State of the Federation of the kidnap of Senator Dino Melaye from any of his family member, friend, associate or staff to indicate that the Senator has been kidnapped”, Moshood has said. Popular Yoruba actress Aisha Abimbola died after a battle with cancer. Popular Yoruba actress, Aisha Abimbola, is dead. The actress, who was popular for her role in the  "Omoge Campus"  movie, passed away in Canada on May 15, 2018. She passed away after a battle with cancer. Her death was confirmed by fellow actress,  Bisola Badmus Adunni,  who announced her death on her Instagram page. Aisha Abimbola's acting career Abimbola shot into limelight with her role in the  Bola Igida  movie, "Omoge Campus." Her sophmore movie was  Eje Adegbenro,"  a film produced by  Jide Kosoko. Several people were reportedly injured on Saturday after a fight broke out during the local government congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo state. The injured which included the former lawmaker, representing the area at the House of Assembly, Hon. Afolabi Iwalewa, and the current Caretaker Chairman of the local government area, Prince Gbadebo Odimayo. Fayemi polled 941 votes, followed by Mr Segun Oni 481, while Kayode Ojo 281, came third. 2,327 accredited delegates voted in the shadow election. By this victory, Fayemi will be contesting the governorship seat of the state with Prof Kolapo Olusola (Eleka) of the People’s Democratic Party in the July election. Olusola is being promoted by incumbent Governor Ayo Fayose of the PDP. A  former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Segun Oni put up a good fight as he tackled the serving Minister.
